Abstract Graduate work on «Operational efficiency improvement of the logistics operator based on simulation modeling» consists of introduction, business analysis of object of the research, exploring foreign and local experience in applying simulation modeling in warehouse logistics, practical application of the simulation modeling and conclusions. The key purpose of the research is to appraise the warehouse resources in order to eliminate the of vehicle idle time waiting for loading and unloading cargo in queues. This equates to eliminate penalties from trucking company and retailer for outstanding orders. The object of the research is Chanel`s warehouse based on ‘FM Logistics’ platform in Dolgoprudny. In this study the following main problems have been researched: 1. Analysis landscape, financial and economic activities and logistics infrastructure of the object of the research have been constructed. On the basis of analysis of the scientific literature simulation modeling approach and appropriate software have been identified for the solution of an identified problems; 2. The operational efficiency improvement`s algorithm of the logistics operator has been developed; 3. The solution of operational efficiency improvement has been developed and economically substantiated. The present research is a complete self-made qualifying work including scientifically well-founded insights for operational efficiency improvement of the logistics operator based on simulation modeling. Key words: logistics operator, simulation modeling, operational efficiency, warehouse resources
