Improvement of Lead Time on the Base of Manufacturing Company

The objective of this work is to reduce lead time of customer's order execution and increase the level of logistics services through the implementation of EDI and improvement of business processes. In accordance with the intended purpose specific objectives were defined, namely: analysis of the external and internal environment of the company, search and justification of problems of the enterprise, the analysis and choice of method of optimization based on studied literature, elaboration and justification of suggested proposals. During the analysis of the company’s activities the following challenges were identified: the steady growth of inventory level and reduction in their turnover, the lack of proper level of information integration and interoperability in the company, long-term lead time cycle of customer's order execution, the uncertainty of the time execution. As a solution of the identified problems were proposed measures to improve the business processes of the company and implementation of EDI system. Also recommendations were offered for changing organizational structure of management of the company. The feasibility of these changes were demonstrated on the model of strategic profit. The return on the own capital increased from 9.03% to 13.48%. 4. Net FQW: p. 114, figures - 29, tables - 21, list of references – 30.
