Improvement of Intraproductive Logistics Using Lean Production Concept

Key words: Lean Production, intraproductive logistics, manufacturing, waste reduction, Dupont model. The main goal of the research is to develop guidelines in order to improve intraproductive logistics in a company. The following tasks should be completed to reach the goal: analysis of company’s operations, it’s position on the market and financial results, detection of the company's weaknesses and it’s problems related to intraproductive logistics, analysis of the literature sources addressed to the Lean Production subject for further development of an algorithm and actions on implementation of the concept, analysis of economic efficiency of the offered events. The object of the research is a manufacturing company. It's sphere of action is manufacture of heating equipment. Based on the results of analysis of logistic operations of the company, the following problems have been detected: high ration of wastes on transportation, motion and waiting in the manufacture, lack of standardization of responsibilities and operations, high level of inventories in the manufacturing process. The following suggestions have been made in the research: replanning of production departments and warehouses of the company and implementation of Lean Production instruments in order to reduce the wastes. As a result, the economic efficiency of the suggested changes has been proved. The return on equity increased by 4,9%.
