The Role of Logistics in The Course of Localization of Contract Manufacturing for Multinational Companies

Abstract 1. The name of thesis " The Role of Logistics in The Course of Localization of Contract Manufacturing for Multinational Companies" 2. Student Mikhailova Tatiana, gr. The thesis advisor Vinogradov Andrey Borisovich, senior lecturer Keywords: localization, import substitution, contract manufacturing, logistics support localization, the choice of a contract manufacturer, the stages of localization, the strategic profit model The object of the research is the localization process of contract manufacturing for foreign companies in Russia. The subject of research are methods of improving logistic support localization contract manufacturing. In the work implementation phases of localization are developed for companies in general, and for the company «Flint». There are also developed a set of measures for logistics support of manufacturing localization, which covers such areas as transportation, warehousing, manufacturing and coordination between the contract manufacturer and the customer. During the analysis of the economic and logistic operations of the company Flint there have been identified the following challenges: the decline in sales, the growth of logistics costs, limited access to participation in tenders, the lack of effective communication with the logistics provider. To solve these problems there have been proposed such measures as: implementation of manufacturing localization, localization support of contract manufacturing (choice "make or buy" for all areas of transportation, search and selection of provider of transportation services, improving the process of handling in the warehouse, development of SLA for logistics provider, improving space-planning decisions in the warehouse). The economic efficiency of these measures is proven by increasing ROE by 45%. The volume of the thesis: p. 133, figures - 26, tables - 36, number of references - 43.
