Discovering UML-Diagrams From Informational System Event Log
System and Software Engineering
(Master’s programme)
2016
This work is devoted to the graphic representation of the event log. The key place is given to a generalized representation of the information in modeling systems of different levels, namely the UML, and in particular the sequence diagram. When working with the event log, we know that any system must work on pre-defined rules. Our goal is to find this model on the basis of the information that is available to us from the event log. We can be sure that there are not only common components among the countless number of runs. We can met the identical runs, which defers only will the timestamp and range of parameters when calling this or that function.

The paper describes a program that can cope with the task, starting from the initial formulation of the problem, and ending with an explanation of the work of certain components in the system. Paper contains a description of some of the objects and models, on the basis of which the program is based, as well as presents the different input data that have changed the task by identifying certain shortcomings in the initial planning of the system. Before carrying out a deep analysis of the program was made, this largely helped to define the standards for the program.
