Improvement of Logistics Service on the Example of Transport-Forwading Company

The general purpose of the study is to improve the logistics service through the development of an effective logistics service management system based on customer segmentation. To achieve this goal the following objectives need to be met ¬— analysis of economic activity; analysis of financial activity; establishing the causes of the problems of logistic service; offering specific solutions for solving problems and increasing the level of logistics service; consideration the theoretical framework dedicated to improving the logistics service of transport-forwarding companies; implementation of the proposed measures; assessment of the economic impact after their implementation. In the analysis of logistics performance of the company the following problems were identified: the ineffectiveness of the existing logistics service management system, due to a lack of customer-oriented approach; decreasing of logistics service quality by late delivery and lack of customer demand completeness. In this paper, the following solutions have been developed: implementation of new logistics service management system, based on customer segmentation; application of measures for improving the performance of delivery dates and customer demand completeness. The economic effect of the practical application of the purposed recommendations was proved.
