Improvement of Intraproductive Logistics in Knauf LLC

Keywords: intraproductive logistics, production, planning, material flow. The purpose of the study is to form a list of recommendations on improvement of intraproductive logistics in the investigated company. The objectives of the paper are: to study the obtained information about the company, it’s place in the market and it’s financial performance; to analyze it’s logistic system; outline the main flaws in intraproductive logistics of the company; research theoretical aspects of intraproductive logistics management; study literature sources related to the topic; find the best practices related to intraproductive logistics; make a list of improvements to the current intraproductive logistics system; develop an algorithm to implement suggested improvements; and to assess the economic efficiency of proposed improvements. The following issues have been detected during the analysis: excess material flows within the company; inefficient use of lorries to transport the material to the production; unsystematic approach to resource planning. The object of the study is production company – Knauf Gips LLC. The key activity of the company – production of construction materials. The following recommendations have been developed: reorganization of material flows within the company, reduction of lorry number, change the organizational structure, implement ERP system to plan the resources. The economic feasibility of the practical implementation of proposed recommendations was proven. As the result, ROE ratio in the model of strategic profit inclined by 2,97% Bachelor thesis consists of: 70 pages, 19 pictures, 13 tables, 30 literature sources.
