Development of Outsourcing Strategy of Logistics Via Example of Garden Tools Company

Key words: outsourcing strategy of logistics, “make or buy” decision in logistics, assessment and selection of logistics providers, logistics services for e-commerce companies, sustainability and economic efficiency of logistics outsourcing decisions. The general purpose of the study is development of outsourcing strategy of logistics, modernization of the process of order fulfillment and organizational structure of the company, evaluation of sustainability and efficiency of the proposed decisions. The study includes an analysis of the company’s financial, economic and logistics activity, an overview of theoretical sources and foreign companies experience in development of outsourcing strategy of logistics and related topics, development and realization of the project algorithm, calculation of the project sustainability and financial efficiency. According to the analysis, the main problem of the company’s logistics system is that company’s own delivery service is no longer able to maintain the whole volume of orders during seasonal sales peaks with remaining level of customer service quality and low level of total logistics costs. The following recommendations were elaborated: company should apply partial outsourcing of the delivery process to maintain the demand satisfaction, modernize it’s business-process of order fulfillment and implement the controlling system of logistics providers. Length of the bachelor’s thesis: 118 pages, 27 pictures, 21 tables, list of literary sources – 37.
