This final qualification work is devoted to the estimation of over-indebtedness level for Russian households and to the relationship analysis between various socio-economic factors and over-indebtedness. For the purposes of this work the bivariate and multivariate analyses were used which allow identifying significant relations between two or more variable respectively. To estimate the level of over-indebtedness four main indicators were used from which one has not been used previously. The conducted research shows that the level of over-indebtedness for Russian households is relatively low. Moreover, the suggested hypothesis about the significance of financial planning horizon factor was confirmed. This factor has inverse relationship with households’ probability to be over-indebted.
