This paper investigates the transfer behavior if Russian Household based on The Russian Longitudinal Monitoring Survey (RLMS). It was shown that private transfers among Russian households tend to follow downstream pattern, with children receiving more than half of all transfers surrendered, while main donors are parents. The estimates of given transfers reveal that high income (wage or pensions) and good health of the members of household encourages people to help relatives, while each additional children lead to the drop in transferred amounts. Married couples with low income are potential recipients of relatively high transfers. Also, the probability of participating in transfer activity is estimated. Important result here is that estimates reveal substitutability of government income redistributions programmes and private transfers.
