This degree work represents a research of the reception and the comparative analysis of the translations of the Ernest D'Hervilly's book ''The Adventures of The Prehistoric Boy''. The destiny of the book in Russia is traced in the context of historical and political situation in the country which became the reason of all changes that were added in the text by translators. It allowed us to make a hypothesis of the appearance of 'Russian' D'Hervilly.
