Potential and Future of Renewable Energy in China

Energy is the most critical asset which is necessary for human survival, which is directly affect country's financial, social, economic and their people life standards. The carefully selection of energy sources has a direct on our earth climate. As estimation, the total remaining coal, natural gas and crude oil reserve would be consumed in 109, 54 and 53 years respectively. Due to largest energy consumption country, China share of world total carbon emission is more than 26 percent in 2011. China is enriched with large amount of renewable energy resources. China total renewable energy investment in 2015 was 36 percent of world. Renewable energy share is country’s total power mix is 24 percent in 2015. China set a target to reduce its carbon emission by 40-45 percent of 2005 level in 2020 and reduce to its peak value in 2030. China goal to reach the share of renewable energy is 15, 20 and over 50 percent of the country’s total energy mix by 2020, 2030 and 2050, respectively.
