Year of Graduation: 2017

After graduating from a higher school, young people faced many issues that they need to address. One of such questions, which will largely determine the future of yesterday's students, is the question of entering the labor market. This study is devoted to the study of the labor market problem of graduates of higher school in Russia, its characteristics, the formation of demand for labor, as well as the matching of demand and supply of graduates' work. Based on the data of selective observation of the employment of graduates in 2010-2015. Release and data of the employers survey within the framework of the Monitoring of the Economics of Education for 2006-2015, an analysis of the demand for graduates 'work was carried out, which showed that the level of demand for graduates' work remains high among most industries, but tends to decrease at the end of the period. In the situation of the mass character of higher education in Russia, the diploma obtained by graduates loses its significance for employers, instead, the availability of work during studies positively influences the willingness of employers to hire graduates. About a quarter of graduates have the opportunity to find employment during their studies. The results obtained in this work can serve as a basis for further studies of problems of graduates' employment.
