Analysis and Improvement of Purchasing Activity of the Retail Store

In this paper, we consider the basics of purchasing management, the specifics of purchasing in the fashion industry. Modern tools for forecasting fashion trends and research of consumer demand were studied. The analysis of purchasing activity of a retail clothing store, stages of work with potential suppliers, formation and management of assortment was carried out. The issue of improving the purchasing activity of the store was also considered. In particular, such options as the application of the concept of rapid response, ABC-analysis, application of the life cycle of fashionable goods in practice, as well as modern methods of working with suppliers were proposed.
