The Role of Misperceptions in the Mass Media Conflict Coverage

Due to the military conflict in eastern Ukraine serious changes in economical, political and social spheres of Russian Federation and Ukraine. Numbers of problems connected with military operations in Luhansk and Donetsk a in the center of mass-media attention of both countries. This circumstances are provided by the growing mass technologies, which should be the main power for forming political views and behavior of Ukrainians and Russians. The research and analysis of this technologies is very important for understanding and prognosis of media-influence effectiveness. Relevant empirical methods of studying framing, their shortcomings and advantages are revealed. The content-analysis of the empirical research, which allowed to determine the presence, absence, and quantitative characteristics of media messages that might contribute to a certain form of media influence on the political behavior of the audience, was a tool for framing the example of media coverage of events in the east of Ukraine.
