The Determinants of Export Transaction in Russia

Export is one of the most important indicators of the country's economy. Establishing successful foreign trade relations is one of the most important criteria for the good functioning of the country's economy. Export demonstrates the competitiveness of the country's goods on the world market. Also, this macroeconomic indicator has a strong influence on the external balance of the country's economy. The purpose of this work is to identify factors that affect the export of Russia. The paper considers data for 2 samples at different time intervals. The first was collected for the period from the 1st quarter of 2002 to the 2nd quarter of 2016, and the second from the 1st quarter of 2006 to the 4th quarter of 2013. In the course of the study, models were built for the general export of Russia, as well as for individual articles of it. The positive impact of the GDP of trade partners and the price of oil on Russia's exports were revealed. Also, it was revealed that the volatility of the ruble / dollar exchange rate had a negative impact.
