The Mode of Media Consumption and Political Support in Russia: Evidence from the Survey Data 2016

The main focus of this paper is the connection between, on the one hand, media exposure and perceived media objectivity, and multi-level political support in Russia, on the other hand. Based on August 2016 omnibus survey data quantitative research, author finds out that contrary to well-established opinion, media use frequency does not significantly affect political support, however there was found a strong positive connection between perceived media objectivity and both diffuse and specific political support on federal level in Russia.
