The use of computer technology to commit acts related to crimes, both in the sphere of economic activity and in the sphere of public interests. The study addresses existing problems of qualification and investigation of fraud in the field of computer information, as well as a comprehensive study of theoretical and practical issues related to the application of existing legislation in the application of Article 159.6 of the Criminal Code. The author substantiates the conclusion that the effectiveness of the investigation of fraud in the sphere of computer information is directly dependent on the level of interaction of the investigation with the operational services. Overcoming these problems is possible by amending the existing criminal legislation, as well as developing a methodology for disclosure and investigation of fraud using computer information that can have a significant impact on the quality of disclosure and investigation of these crimes. The carried out research allows to generalize, systematize and expand the existing for the present time notion about the issue under study.
