Role of the Polling Research Organizations in Falsification of Preferences on the Foreign Policy Issues in Russia in the 2010s

Survey companies are involved in the formation of public opinion on crucial political questions – especially such which are connected with foreign policy issues. This tendency is also specific for Russia. The objective of the research is the determining how the falsification of public opinion on foreign policy issues is constructed by survey companies in Russia in 2010-s. A comparative analysis of the formation of foreign policy agenda by survey companies and the hypothesis testing show two main strategies of survey companies in manipulating the agenda according to the type of political situation: a military conflict or long-term and relatively stable relations with the major external economic or political partner.
