Business Process Optimization through Lean Manufacturing

The present study focuses on business process improvement - supply of filling lines with auxiliary materials in Perm branch of «Henkel Rus» company through lean techniques. Therefore, the core aim of this research is to develop set of measures aimed at optimization of supply process, using lean methods in order to increase productivity levels, profitability and high quality. At the initial stage, the problem was identified in accounting of auxiliary materials – it is the most laborious procedure in view of inexpedient movements of the employee, and duplication of actions. During the study, the state of the process "AS IS" was modeled, time and motion were studied and potential causes of the problem were identified. The results of the research include future state diagram «TO BE» and recommendations for process optimization of supplying lines with auxiliary materials.
