Instructional Design of Pre-University Tutorial Within Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals and Materials of Siberian University

The paper considers the problem of attracting professionally-oriented pupils to engineering specialties and areas of training. The idea of professional self-determination of senior pupils is identified and the influencing factors are revealed. The motives affecting applicants’ choice of engineering training areas are analyzed. The necessity of incentives at the stage of pre-university training of professional self-determination of pupils to receiving engineering education is substantiated. The study presents the model of pre-university training at the School of Nonferrous Metals and Material Science of Siberian Federal University, designed on the basis of professional focus, regional characteristics, social partnership, advanced development of the individual, fundamental nature, continuity and intensification. In accordance with the features of professional self-development of pupils the designed model provides gradual promotion of professional self-determination of the pupils to receiving engineering education.
