The research study examines the factors of participation in job-related training for senior workers in Russian Federation. This topic becomes relevant in connection with the aging of the Russian population. The problem of job-related training is examined in two aspects. The first aspect is related to the uneven participation of different age groups of workers in training. The second aspect concentrates on special reasons that determine such uneven participation. These aspects have been studied using models of binary choice on balanced RLMS data for individuals from 2010 to 2015. Firstly, it was found that workers over 45 years of age take participation in job-related training with less probability than young workers do. Secondly, about 30 age-related factors of job-related participation were determined. As for the second aspect, individual characteristics acquire their significance, while others become irrelevant with age. They are demographic and qualifying characteristics of the individual, characteristics of the sectoral and professional belonging of the employee.
