Auteur Cinema: Concept Transformation in Cinema Studies and Film Criticism of the Last Decades

In this graduation paper the author attempts to describe specifics of Auteur cinema as a part of the complex system of cinematography and to give a contemporary definition of the term. The choice of the theme is motivated by the following reasons. First of all, the constantly growing necessity to re-write and supplement history and theory of cinema due to its' dynamics. Secondly, the term "Auteur cinema" has appeared in 1954 and has not been updated since then. The researcher took the existing scientific articles on the topic, the range of critical articles and several interviews with contemporary film critics as a basis for the study.
