The Development of Energy Market in China in 2011-2016

China is the second largest economy in the world, whose influence in the international arena is increasing with each passing day. Due to its competitive advantages and sound economic policies of the last decades, it managed to make a transition from a planned to a dynamically developing market economy. However, the goals of accelerated economic development of the country come into contradiction with the current energy tasks, which explains the relevance of this study. This work consists of an introduction, three chapters, conclusion and a list of references. In the first chapter, four stages of the development of China's energy sector are examined, China's place in the world energy market is determined. The second chapter is devoted to a detailed description of the state of the Chinese energy market, the structure of energy balance, consumption, extraction characteristics, energy policy at present. The third chapter presents an analysis of the problems and prospects for the development of China's energy market, addresses the main areas of energy cooperation between China and Russia.
