Light is an important compositional tool in architecture. The object of study in my work are primarily natural lighting system, which I will discuss the example of a traditional temple architecture of modern church architecture and modern architecture. The first part of my work is devoted to temple architecture. I have been studying the role of light in the temple, light sources, their location, stained glass windows and views. Then I study the role of light in modern temple architecture. I find out how contemporary architects see the Church as work on the light in the temple, and what with the use innovative methods and materials.

The second part of my work is devoted to light and shadow in modern architecture. I study projects selected me modern architects. I find out what role light plays in their projects, how they use it. At the end of the work I conclude where I sums up all the information about light transmission methods into the room. These methods in the future I will use in my project.
