Statistical Analysis of Investment Appeal of Russian Regions

The article deals with the determination of statistical coherences between socio-economic variables and external investments of Russian regions. Various academic papers about estimation of investment appeal of Russian regions are considered in the study. The volume of external investments is considered as an indicator of investment appeal of Russian regions. More than 20 main socio-economic variables are included into the analysis as the dependent variables. The regions are classified in clusters with different level of investment appeal. New approach of estimation investment attractiveness in the form of econometric model is the anticipated result of the study.
