Value Management of IT-projects in Russian Companies

This Master's thesis theme: Value Management of IT-projects in Russian Сompanies. This Master's thesis is devoted to the problem of managing the value of IT projects in Russian companies. To be more specific, a set of business effects from IT projects, as well as the effectiveness of implementation in terms of compliance with the specified budget, time frame, goals and content. This topic is especially important with usually significant IT costs and low return on investments in this area. At the moment there is a limited number of academic studies on the management of value in IT projects. The main developments are based on the practice of leading vendors directly developing this subject and academic studies in related areas: IT investments, critical success factors for implementation, agile methodologies, etc. The structure of this paper is as follows: introduction; a theoretical and methodological chapter devoted to reviewing both the essence of the value concept and the most relevant methodologies and tools for managing the value of IT projects; a practical study that analyzes the quality value management of IT projects in large Russian companies; development of recommendations based on existing research and information obtained in the process of practical study; conclusion; information sources and applications.
