Statistical Analysis of the Employment in Russia

The present paper considers the study which is devoted to comprehensive statistical analysis of employment in Russia. The research consists of three chapters. The first chapter deals with the basic concepts of labor statistics and analyzes the structure of the employed population. The second chapter focuses on identifying macroeconomic variables that affect the size of the employed population. This relationship is evaluated with the help of constructing regressions on spatial and panel data. The third chapter is devoted to the analysis of the dynamics of the number of employed in Russia. Using the construction of various models, the dynamics of the indicator under investigation was described and a forecast was made for the year ahead. In conclusion, the following the employment of the population depends primarily on the level of development of the economy of both regions and Russia. However, in addition to economic indicators, structural and demographic indicators also exert a considerable influence on the employment of the population. In addition, the study of this indicator in the dynamics led to the conclusion that if the stable situation in the economy of the country remains, the number of employed population will show steady growth.
