The purpose of this research is to study the Russian music market, the indie music market in particular. At the moment, the entertainment industry in general is gaining popularity among young specialists. However, there is not much literature and information in Russian and especially about the Russian industry. I personally am working in concert organization and found out that most of the people who work in this field have to learn from their on mistakes. At the moment there are a lot of musicians who promote themselves without any labels (which actually makes a lot of people question if labels are necessary in general). This work is going to cover such topics as: concert organization, concert promotion, general promotion, the significance and role of social media and figuring out the most effective ways to organize a profitable concert. This work may help aspiring musicians, new-made producers, promoters and concert organizers understand how the industry works and how to make a band or a musician popular with a relatively small budget in Russia.
