The Channels TNT, CTC, MTV, Pyatniza Illustrate the Development Patterns of Entertainment Channels in Russia in Period 2000-2016
Today, the market of the media industry is rapidly developing, moving away from the original mass media task to inform the audience. In modern society a successful media should not only provide information, but also to generate original, quality, and, most importantly, interesting content, which is very clearly «fall» into a specific target audience. But what happens on Russian television? How the main trends of development in the entertainment format on TV realize in our country? This work is an attempt to answer this question using some theoretical analysis and content analysis based on the most popular TV channels in Russia like TNT, CTC, MTV and Pyatniza. The results will be of particular interest to marketers, as they have to take unconventional strategies into promotion on TV channels, as well as to entrepreneurs who plan to develop in the television business in Russia.
