Virtual Team Management in International Telecom Projects

This Master's thesis is devoted to the study of the relationship between the management styles (leadership) of virtual teams in international telecom projects and the success of these projects, as well as the level of satisfaction of members in the virtual teams. The work focuses on the transformational and transactional styles of management, because these two leadership styles correspond to the specifics of telecommunication projects: duration, number of participants, motivational aspects and etc. The object of the study is a virtual team. The goal of this study is to identify the factors (criteria) of the transformational and transactional management styles of virtual teams that influence the success of an international telecom project and the satisfaction of the team members. The conclusions given in the thesis can contribute to the further effective expansion of use of virtual teams in transnational companies. The results are aimed to improve the interaction of virtual teams, in order to increase the exchange of ideas and skills with needed control and motivation, which will definitely lead to increased productivity and higher satisfaction within the team.
