The present article is concerned with agent-based modeling of socio-economics relations, specifically with the behavior of labor force. The basic principles of agent modeling are studied and the rationale for choosing this approach in application to modeling artificial societies is given. AnyLogic simulation tool has been mastered and a simple model that reflects the search for work at the micro level has been developed. It takes into account the individual characteristics of the agents, as well as the possibility of communication between them. The paper includes detailed instructions for developing the model, detailed description of the subject area, the main classes, and their parameters. At the moment, the agent-based model of the labor force is in development stage. In the conclusion, you can see the prospects for improving the model. The detailed focusing at the micro level modeling allows to better understand the principles of multi-agent modeling even for newcomer developers, and take a step closer to develop more complex systems. The model is posted on the Internet at https://www.runthemodel.com.
