This paper is devoted to the sources of financing for start-ups involved in the ICT sector. In this work we are going to study the main sources of financing for start-ups, their advantages and disadvantages, and we are going to assess which finical options the entrepreneur should chose at different stages of start-up development. Special attention will be paid to the Mangrove Capital Partners' (MCP) activity on the Russian market. Through the case of MCP we will study the attractiveness of the Russian market for both foreign and domestic investors. We will also investigate what implications arise for the start-up with the choice of a foreign or domestic investor.
