Technological progress is currently developing very rapidly, changing our everyday life literally every day. In this connection, the question of how to protect information, which is an integral part of the right to privacy, is very urgent, to protect it at the highest - the constitutional level. The protection of information should be a priority for any state that in the modern world plans to occupy a leading place in the international arena. In the Russian Federation, the right to privacy, the element of which is the right of everyone to privacy of correspondence, telephone conversations, postal, telegraphic and other communications, is guaranteed by Part 2 of Art. 23 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation. The purpose of the work is to study the problems of realization of the constitutional right to the secret of correspondence and telephone conversations. In the process of achieving this goal, several basic questions will be revealed, which together will give a complete picture of the problem: 1) to define the concept and legal nature of the constitutional right to the secrecy of correspondence and telephone conversations; 2) to investigate the mechanism for implementing the constitutional right to the privacy of correspondence and telephone conversations; 3) analyze the actual problems of the implementation of the constitutional right to the privacy of correspondence and telephone conversations.
