Parents were the main agents of socialization of children, and accepted that children reflect the values of their parents. However, the instability and variability both at the global scale and at the state level change human life: not the exception is the process of formation of value orientations of the new generations. The study of the process of values transmission in the family acquires a different framework: the influence of heterogeneity of the society and, therefore, differentiation of value orientations, the effects of growing diversity of sources and channels of socialization on the efficiency of assimilation of the values of younger generations require scientific understanding. Due to the fact that intrafamily intergenerational value transmission "inscribed" in a wide cultural context, is largely determined by the "spirit of time", extrapolation to the Russian family patterns, identified in a different cultural context, is not possible without special inspection. Therefore, the goal of research was to analyze the process of intrafamily intergenerational transmission of values in different socio-economic contexts in the modern Russian conditions. Method of focused interviews with six families with different economic status was used for the solution of empirical tasks. Presenting intrafamily intergenerational transmission of values as a complex process, which different factors may be relevant, we revealed differences in the mechanisms and results of the transmission in Russian families with different economic status: in particular, the differences in the types of transmission of values in an economically stable and low-income families. Thus, the conducted study allowed to consider the specifics of intergenerational transmission of values in modern Russian conditions of instability and crises.
