The "Poet" Literary Award: Concept, History, Nominees

The research is focused on the "Poet" award: the features of its functioning in the context of contemporary literary prizes. The research goal was to identify the criteria needed to receive the "Poet" Prize.The main methods of work are work with documents, expert interview and comparative analysis. In the course of the study, it was revealed that, except for single cases, the choice of winners is really not just due to personal preferences of jury members, but the prize is a tool for "marking out" the literary field, building an unambiguous literary hierarchy that is thought to be objectively existing, leading among other hierarchies.
