Prime Minister Abe Shinzo's Military Policy in 2006-2007 and 2012-2016

The work gives a general description of Japan’s military policy, the Japanese crisis between 2007 and 2012, when a break in Shinzo Abe’s reign occurred, and changes in the military sphere. It also identifies possible factors that influenced the change in Japan's military policy, analyzes and classifies them as primary and secondary drivers of change in military policy based on official data and statements, gives overview of persuasion factors and attitude towards the militarization of the country. The work contains parliamentary debates, speeches, world and public reactions, current problems in Japan’s foreign policy, associated with international military relations, the actions of Japan leadership, in particular the military policy of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. It also reviews Japanese military history, laws, as well as international problems connected with the involvement of military forces.
