The research is focused on the modern state of Buddhist Ethics, actuality of which is confirmed by the relevance of contemporary global spiritual crisis, which was dramatically intensified in the era of globalization. Dalai Lama’s book «More Than Religion: Ethics for the Whole World" (2016) covers cultural, historic, social and political context which explains the reasons of the crisis’s development and, more importantly, it also provides with the information on how to overcome it without reliance on religious values.
