Evaluation of Vnesheconombank Investment Programs in Monotowns and Regions of Russian Federation

Investment projects are an important part of modern government policy and one of the key instruments in the recovery of Russian economy, however there are still no researches evaluating the effects, produced by these projects. This qualification research is dedicated to the evaluation of Vnesheconombank investment programs in monotowns and regions of Russian Federation. Today 44 regions and 48 monotowns are participants of these projects. This research includes theoretical basis of Vnesheconombank policies, description of the problem of monotowns and regional economic growth and analysis of statistical data, resulting in the evaluation of the effects, produced by the development projects of Vnesheconombank. "Difference in difference" evaluation mthod is used for the analysis. Recomendations on improving Vnesheconombank investment policy are given based on the results of this research.
