Migrants in Moscow - Journalistic Research. Special Project

Legal and illegal migration is essential part of Moscow multicultural society. However, the impact of stereotypes about migrants and their behavior broken social rules misrepresents significant facts of their co-existence with Russians. Consequently, unjustified ethnic hatred among people which are part of Moscow society, absence of comprehension and credibility between citizenships and migrants are critical problems for maintaining stability. Moreover, mass media are usually responsible for an appearance of such conflicts. The study aims at estimating the relationships between non-native diasporas and Moscow citizens. We discuss the strategies of integration of migrants into the capital of Russia, concern some forms of their socio-cultural adaptation and motives of their choice. Besides, in this paper we represent perfect media released only true information. The methodology taking in this research includes observation, interviews with respondents and experts. Based on their answers and qualitative data, we indicate main problems of legal and illegal migrants in Moscow. The major part of research represents unique information which we gather and systemize independently. The study is a series of reports that combine fundamental research and original cases.
