The Marble Mosaic Decomposition With Its Elements\' Identification

Several approaches to digital image contours identification problem were analyzed in respect to the appropriate mathematical models. The following objectives were considered: to determine main objectives of creating of the system that performs the decomposition of digital image of a marble mosaic with the identification of elements, the main problems arising in the identification. An overview of some of the existing methods for identifying elements was introduced. The justification and description of the proposed methods for identifying the elements were presented. The software that demonstrates the results was described. The analysis of the effectiveness of the software was performed.
