The Image of a Member of a Student Squad in the Representations of the Organization "Russian Student Squads"

There are many youth organizations in Russia today. One of them is the organization "Russian Student Squads". There are leadership and ordinary members of this organization. They may have different ideas about how a member of this organization should look like. This research is focused on how the image of a member of the student squad is constructed in these two groups. Using the method of in-depth interviews with the members of this organization and analyzing the documents of this organization, it was possible to find out that the image in the representations of the members of this organization is constructed on the basis of professional characteristics, features of the squad movement, and communications between the participants. The image of a member of the student squad in the representations of leadership is constructed from the youth policy of the Russian Federation and from past traditions of the squad movement. It was also managed to find out that the images of these groups are more similar, which is the result of the fact that members of student squad are aware of their function in this organization, and the leadership of the organization clearly convey their position.
