Building a Corpus of Classical Persian Poetry

We built Classical Persian corpus collecting poetic texts of the 9-17th centuries as a resource for morphology study. For POS-tagging we used a statistical tagger trained on modern Persian Peykare corpus . Lemmatization and morphology tagging was carried out using rule based method by generating word forms from a dictionary.
