Military of Government as a Subject of Political Process (Exampled by the Development of "arab Spring")

Annotation The role of modern armed forces in the countries undergoing the process of large-scale social and political transformation is investigated in this work. The object of research are military forces of certain Islam countries (Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Syria, Yemen) as subjects of political process. The developments of «arab spring» revealed the key role of military in political processes of the Islam world countries. Strategies of action, chosen by military top generals, determine the degree of stability of state and social systems. The scientific problem is that despite close initial conditions, patterns and strategies of military involvement in political processes of mentioned countries differ greatly. Concerning the crucial role of army during the «аrab spring» crisis in these countries, it is necessary to investigate the motives of actions of military as political subjects. The work provides a comparative analysis of conditions, motives and patterns of military involvement in political processes of mentioned countries during «arab spring». Models of interaction between armed forces and political regimes before the “arab spring» were discovered. Classification of mentioned Islam countries based on military patterns of action during «arab spring» was suggested. Motives of military involvement in political processes of Islam countries were defined. Key words: military, army, policy, political institute, «arab spring», civil control.
