This graduation paper is devoted to the study and analysis of modern Institute of recognition and enforcement of foreign court decisions and the process of its formation. Institute of recognition and enforcement of foreign judicial acts, which began its formation in the West in the second half of the XIX century, currently continues its development and plays a great role in the expanding of international economic space, establishment of close cooperation between States in the field of mutual legal assistance in civil, family cases. The Russian Federation being a party of numerous international treaties that establish the possibility of mutual recognition and enforcement of foreign judicial acts, commits the execution of such treaties, thereby increasing the level of trust to Russian individuals and legal entities from foreign counterparts, which in turn ensures the expansion of the scale of international cooperation, contributes to the increase and development of a number of inter-state relations. The focus of the work is devoted to the analysis of grounds for refusal of recognition and enforcement of foreign judicial decisions, and to the consideration of approaches to the interpretation of the categories of "arbitrability of" and "public order." At the end of the work there are insights generated in the process of the study of normative sources, literature on the research topic and litigation.
