The Phenomenon of Confluence. The Psychoanalytical Approach

The purpose of this thesis is to study the phenomenon of confluence within the psychoanalytic approach, the definition of criteria by which it is possible to recognize its pathological manifestations in the relationship between a man and a woman, a patient and a psychotherapist. At the moment, the topics and problems connected with the phenomenon of confluence are more often heard. However, extensive studies of confluence in the psychoanalytical direction of psychology have not been conducted, and the analysis of scientific, theoretical, clinical data, philosophical and psychological sources on the research problem has revealed a rather broad spectrum of the definition of the concept of "confluence". There has been done the work on structuring approaches to the study of the phenomenon of confluence, analysis of confluence from the standpoint of psychoanalysis, which allows us to take a fresh look at the problem and identify possible sources of its occurrence
