Program for Transcribing a Monophonic Audio File to Music Score

Currently, there are many methods for analyzing and recognizing sounds, but despite this, solutions for automatically converting monophonic audio files into their musical notation is rather small, with such programs for the mobile operating system Android is not. The goal of this work is to create a client-server application for Android that will allow converting audio files into their music notation and providing a convenient way of storing and accessing both downloaded audio files and corresponding generated musical notations. Several different approaches were combined to extract the pitch and the duration of notes, onset detection was used for the separation of the audio file to notes. As a result, the "NoteScore" program was created. This product is useful both for musicians and composers, the product allows to instantly and conveniently convert the heard and newly created melodies, which saves time. The paper contains 39 pages, 3 chapters, 19 illustrations, 1 table, 24 bibliography items. Keywords: audio signal processing, pitch tracking, onset detection, android.
