Similarity and Interestingness Measures for Sequences' Patterns
Applied Mathematics and Information Science
In this study, similarity and interestingness measures in terms of demographical data are examined. Similarity measures stand for differences between sequences while interestingness measures are about their inner structure and uncertainty of predicting the next state. Some common measures are mentioned and implemented with programming language R. As demographic surveys' data are tend to have some technical errors, significant part of this study is associated with data imputation to prepare the data for this and possible future studies.
