In a modern economy, the goal of any production is to extract the maximum possible profit. In such conditions, only those enterprises that receive the highest economic result from it can realize their production activity, to achieve which they need to involve new technologies in their production and to focus on their own merits, eliminating shortcomings. The purpose of this final qualification work was to determine the influence of the presence of industrial enterprises in clusters on their productivity and the answer to the question: is there a difference in the efficiency of enterprises in clusters, in contrast to self-supporting enterprises. Clusters have become an object of research, and the subject is the work of industrial enterprises within cluster structures and beyond. Using the construction of the Cobb-Douglas production function and the method of least squares, a comparison was made between the two sets of enterprises and conclusions were drawn. The practical significance lies in the fact that the results of the study can form the basis for further scientific research on clustering in the Russian Federation. Analyzed scientific research and foreign experience can be useful for the development of industrial enterprises and clusters, the choice of a key activity and management style of the subjects of our country.
