Donald Trump’s Public Campaign in Battle-Ground States in 2016 Presidential Elections

This work concerns the 2016 presidential elections in the USA. They were won by Republican Donald Trump, an eccentric businessman and TV personality. This became the 5th time in the US history when the elected president lost the popular vote, but won in Electoral College. 30 states gave Donald Trump the victory, including Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Iowa, Michigan and Wisconsin that before voted for Democrat Barack Obama 2 times in 2008 and 2012. We wil analyse the public opinion, look at the social, economic, political and demographic characteristics of these 6 states. We will examine the way Donald Trump appealed to the citizens, find out which messages he was sending to the voters, learn whether or not they were different in various states.
